Our Story
Rooted in Baltimore. Built on Purpose.
The Black Nurses Association of Baltimore was founded by a group of dedicated nurses who recognized a critical need: to create a professional home for Black nursing professionals in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
For decades, our members have served on the front lines of healthcare — in hospitals, clinics, schools, and community centers across the city. We have advocated for equitable health policies, mentored the next generation of nurses, and stood as a unified voice for the communities we serve.
Today, BNAB stands as a pillar of the Baltimore healthcare community — connecting professionals, driving policy change, and ensuring that Black nurses have the resources, recognition, and support they deserve.
